RCMF 2024 Of Love and Madness 24 - 30 June

Welcome to RCMF 2024! Commencing this year on Midsummer's Day, we explore music inspired by intricate tales of passion, betrayal, unrequited love and the delicate dance between forgiveness and the unrestrained echoes of the human spirit. Once again, I’m delighted to welcome an international line up of world-class musicians to Romsey to share a week of chamber music magic.

This year we begin with a dawn recital on the banks of the River Test at the spectacular Houghton Lodge Gardens given by cellist Rainer Crosett. The week continues with an open masterclass, a visit from baritone Thomas Guthrie for his acclaimed arrangement of Schubert Die Schöne Müllerin, a late night performance of Schoenberg's ever intoxicating Verklärte Nacht, a return of our family concert. New for 2024 are trumpeter Imogen Whitehead, pianists Caspar Vos and Jennifer Walsh, violists Natalie Loughran and Jose Nunes…
