The Test Valley area in rural Hampshire is rich in opportunities for learning if you love to get creative there is a range of arts and crafts workshops on offer in Andover, Romsey, Stockbridge and Whitchurch.

If you enjoy being creative or you’ve never had the chance to see what you can achieve, there’s a range of things to choose from.

At the award-winning Sir Harold Hillier Gardens near Romsey which includes year-round displays of plants, flowers and trees set in 180 acres, there are plenty of inspirational creative workshops to choose from. Enjoy immersing yourself in painting, drawing, needle felt, textile art, wood carving, ink drawing, quilting, photography, and seasonal decorations.

Whitchurch Silk Mill is a gem of industrial heritage set in beautiful surroundings. The 19th century water mill weaves English silk fabrics using 19th century machinery and runs regular events. It has lots of creative activities for you to get absorbed in such as learning to weave, felting, decoupage, quilling, silk painting and more. The Fairground Craft and Design Centre at Weyhill is a creative hub for local arts and crafts in the North Hampshire area, consisting of 12 individual studios, a family run Tearoom, and a Gallery. Workshops are run regularly – from painting to card-making, textiles to jewellery workshops, all in beautiful surroundings.
